HARBOR SPRINGS — Monday’s Division 2 skiing state championships at Boyne Highlands in Harbor Springs marked the end of the 2021 season.
Great day at Boyne Highlands! Petoskey Boys defended their title as 2021 STATE CHAMPS! Girls fought hard despite two team members sidelined with injuries and pulled off some great top 10 finishes! More info to come tomorrow but a HUGE THANK YOU to our coaches, assistant coaches and volunteers! It takes a village to make this season happen and we are grateful!!
What a joy to see parents, siblings and friends gather to cheer on the Petoskey Ski Team at our Pop-up Pep Rally today! We surprised the athletes as they skied in with hoots/hollars and plenty of COWBELL! Great speeches by Booster representative Megan DeWindt, coaches Ben and Jen Crockett and Principal Gamble! Yesterday was cold but sunny at Caberfae Peaks for our final conference meet of the season. Great skiing all around! Lauren Rothman was on her game with first place finishes in both slalom and GS, and Anders McCarthy claimed a first place GS win!
